Shayon “Shy” Jalayer is the Club President and Director of Coaching at Future FC, holding both the U.S. Soccer Federation ‘A’ License and Director of Coaching License. With experience spanning the professional, collegiate, and youth levels, he brings a comprehensive and proven approach to player development.
As a player, Shy competed professionally in the United States and at the collegiate level, where he earned NSCAA All-American honors at Azusa Pacific University.
As a coach, he has worked across all levels of the game, including roles with U.S. Soccer, US Club Soccer, and Olympic Development Program identification staff.
At the high school level, Shy has served on the Santiago High School (Corona) Girls Varsity coaching staff since 2019 as Associate Head Coach. During this time, the program has consistently competed at the highest level in California, highlighted by seven consecutive Big VIII League championships (2020–2026), a CIF Division 1 Championship (2020), a CIF Division 1 Finalist finish (2022), an Open Division Championship (2024) and Finalist finish (2025), as well as a CIF SoCal Regional Championship (2025) and Regional Finalist finish (2024).
At the professional level, Shy coached in the USL Championship with the LA Blues, contributing to four consecutive playoff appearances. He also served as Associate Head Coach of the Pali Blues, winning three consecutive W-League Championships while working with current and future U.S. Women’s National Team players.
He has also led the continued development of Future FC Women, which provides additional opportunities for players to train and compete in a high-level environment while continuing their development within the game.
Shy’s most memorable experience as a player was sharing the field with U.S. soccer great Sonny Askew. As a coach, one of his most meaningful achievements was winning a Super-Y League National Championship with the Future FC Girls 2002 team—an experience that continues to shape his commitment to long-term player development.

Josh Blanco serves as the Boys Vice President and Technical Director at Future FC and holds a U.S. Soccer Federation ‘B’ License, as well as United Soccer Coaches State and Regional Goalkeeper Licenses. He brings extensive experience in player development across the youth, high school, and collegiate levels.
As a player, Josh competed at California Baptist University, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology, building a strong foundation in athlete performance and development.
Josh has coached at the collegiate level with Hope International University, Cal Poly Pomona, Azusa Pacific University, and Norco College, gaining valuable experience in developing players within competitive environments.
At the high school level, Josh has been involved with several successful programs, including Santiago High School and Riverside Poly High School, contributing to multiple league championships. Most notably, as part of the Riverside Arlington High School Boys Varsity staff, he helped lead the program to seven league titles and a CIF Division 2 Championship in 2019.
A long-standing member of Future FC since 2011, Josh has played an integral role in the club’s growth and development. As Boys Technical Director, he oversees the development of players and coaches across all age groups, helping to implement a structured, age-appropriate approach that aligns with the club’s overall philosophy and long-term player development model.

Lynsey Jalayer serves as the Girls Technical Director at Future FC and holds a U.S. Soccer Federation ‘B’ License. She is also a U.S. Soccer Youth National Team Network Scout and is actively involved in SoCal PDP talent identification, bringing a high-level perspective to player development within the club.
As a player, Lynsey had a distinguished collegiate career at California Baptist University, where she helped lead the program to its first-ever National Tournament appearance. She served as team co-captain during her junior and senior years, earning All-Conference honors in the Golden State Athletic Conference, multiple Player of the Week recognitions, and Team Defensive MVP honors.
Lynsey earned both a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and a Master of Science in Sport Management from CBU, further strengthening her foundation in athlete development and performance.
As a coach, Lynsey made an immediate impact at the collegiate level. In her first five seasons as Head Coach at Riverside City College, she led the program to a school-record number of wins and its first playoff appearance in over a decade. In 2008, she was named Orange Empire Conference Coach of the Year.
At Future FC, Lynsey plays a key role in guiding the development of female players across all levels of the club. Her work focuses on creating a structured, age-appropriate environment that supports both individual growth and long-term development, while helping players navigate opportunities within the game.
